MANDATORY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION/TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT (MAMPETD)

 

MAMPETD

Every registered member (on any category of membership grade, or distinctive award/honour/qualification) who desires Membership Upgrading or Professional Management Award should attend the Institute’s Mandatory Management Professional Education/Training & Development (MAMPETD)”.  Exception may be given to a candidate, as may be adjudged by Director-General, however.

 

IMMAN PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS 

 

IMMAN conducts its Professional Examinations on the following areas of coverage:

Management/Administration Professional Examinations & Business/Commercial Examinations

 

Management & Administration Examinations & Business/Commercial Examinations

In concert with the desire of members and other stakeholders for proper professionalism and relevant business proficiency certificates and management/administrative qualifications/certifications, for Business and Commercial Education students, and Practising Professionals of Management and Administration in Nigeria and other countries, the Institute has established Professional Examinations Unit known as “Management and Administration Professional Education Examinations Council” (MAPEEC).  MAPEEC is to conduct and oversee both the Single Course Examinations and Group Course Examinations on various courses within Humanities/Social Science, Business, Commerce & Industry, Business Information Communication Management, Computer Science & I T Management, Technical/Engineering Management, Management Science & Administration, and on other related management/administrative and business/commercial courses.

 

IMMAN Management Education/Training/Examination and Certification range from Single Course (Subject) to Group Courses (Subjects), and to Group of Modules.  Education/Trainings, Examinations and Certifications are on various course programmes with different and peculiar Certifications for each course passed or each group of modules passed respectively.

 

EXAMINATION PERIODS

 

Management Education and Professional Training together with Proficiency or Distinctive Certificate Examinations is for five/six (5/6) months. Examinations are conducted two (2) times in a year.  First: May/June and Second: October/November respectively (for both internal and external candidates).  Lecture/Training is on both Week-days and Week-ends (Saturdays and Sundays).

 

Graduate Conversion Certification Programme (GCCP) Lectures and Trainings together with Examinations are conducted three (3) times in a year - First: March/April;  Second: July/August; and Third: November/December, every year.  Lecture/Training is for Twelve (12) Weekends (Saturdays or Sundays).

 

 

PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS, ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT & COMMERCIAL/BUSINESS EXAMINATIONS Single Subject (Elementary & Intermediate Exams) AND Single Subject (Advanced Exams)

 

 (1)      Basic Business Certification Examinations (BBCE):  Single Course (Subject) Professional Training and Examinations on Intermediate and Advanced Levels, for Business Course Certificate (BCC).  Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Holders of O’ Level results/certificate for Intermediate Stage; Holders of Diploma/NCE (Bus. Edu.) or professional qualification equivalent for Intermediate Stage/Advanced State.  Holders of Degree/Higher Diploma or professional qualification equivalent for Advanced or Intermediate Stage.  One or more papers (from one to eight papers) can be registered for at a time. A Certificate is issued on each course (subject) passed separately. E.g. A candidate that passed 1, 4, 6, or 8 courses will have 1, 4, 6, or 8 Result Slips and 1, 4, 6, or 8 Certificates. 

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidates with O’ Level Results, TC II, NCE, Dip, HND, BSc, etc.

 

BUSINESS EDUCATION & TRAINING FOR ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT TECHNICIANS SCHEME CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS I & II (AMTSCE) GROUP OF COURSES - LEVEL I AND LEVEL II 

 

(2)       AMTSC: Administrative Management Technicians Scheme Certificate (General Education/Training) Examination (AMTSCE I & II):  The business education/training here is for candidates with Junior Secondary School Certificate (JSSC); Candidates (SSS Students) without complete O’ Level results; Candidates awaiting results, will be considered.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidates with complete O’ Level results; Candidates with Teachers’ Certificate (TC II), etc.  Of course, mature candidates are considered.

The business education/training and examinations consist of Two Modules of sixteen courses (subjects).  Each module consists of Eight (8) Courses (combining general commercial and business papers). All the course papers must be passed before certification award.

 

PROFESSIONAL FOUNDATION CERTIFICATION TRAININGS & EXAMINATIONS (Group of Courses Professional Trainings & Examinations)

Qualifying Examinations for Direct Entry to Management/Administration

 

(3)       Professional Foundation Certification Examinations (PFCE):  Group of Courses (Subjects)) Examinations of a module consists of Ten (10) courses, for Professional Foundation Certificate (PFC) or Professional Business Foundation Certificate (PBFC).  This is preparatory training programme for direct admission to professional certification level. A Certificate is issued when every course under the module is passed.  Only a Result Slip will be issued for examination and only a Certificate will be issued for all the courses.  Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidates with O’ Level Results including Credit in English and Mathematics or equivalent; Holders of TC II, NCE, Dip/NID or equivalent. (Commercial, Art and Science candidates are eligible for admission.  Holders of other higher qualifications in non-business related courses of studies that are interested in this level may register for it.   However, a candidate may be exempted from this level provided that such a candidate can cope well and perform successfully at higher level).

 

MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS & EXAMINATIONS (Professional Group Certification Examinations - PGCE)

 

(4)   Intermediate Professional Certification Examinations (PCE I): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of Two Modules consist of Ten (10) courses, for Certificate or Professional Business Certificate of Business Administration (CBA/PBC).  CBA/PBC Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  First Module Examinations consist of Six (6) courses while the Second Module Examinations consist of Four (4) courses.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the two modules are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidate with NCE, Dip/NID, Higher/Advanced Diploma or equivalent; Sound Candidates with O’ Level Results including Credit in English and Mathematics or TC II or equivalent., (Commercial, Art and Science candidates are eligible for admission.  Holders of other higher qualifications in non-business related courses of studies that are interested in this level may register for it.  There is, however, an exemption consideration for a candidate based on his/her entry qualification, CGPA level and other conditions.

 

(5)   Advanced Professional Certification Examinations (PCE II): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of Two Modules consist of Twelve (12) courses, for Diploma or Hons. Diploma of Business Administration (DBA/HD). DBA/HD Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  First Module Examinations consist of Seven (7) courses while the Second Module Examinations consist of Five (5) courses.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the two modules are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate.

There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidate with Higher/Advanced Diploma or equivalent; Sound Candidates with NCE, Dip/NID, or equivalent. Holders of BSc/HND in non- business related courses of studies are qualified to register for it.  There is, however, an exemption consideration for a candidate based on his/her entry qualification, CGPA level and other conditions.

 

(6)   Graduate Professional Certification Examinations (PCE III): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of Two Modules consist of Fifteen (15) courses, for Graduate Diploma / Higher International Diploma of Business Administration/Management (GDBA/GDM/HID). GDBA/GDM/HID Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  First Module Examinations consist of Eight (8) courses while the Second Module Examinations consist of Seven (7) courses.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the two modules are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate.

There will be a Presentation of Research Work Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations:  Candidate with BSc/BBA/HND in Business related courses of studies; or Sound Candidates with Higher/Advanced Diploma or equivalent (from recognized Higher Education) in Business/Social Science related courses of studies, with Upper CGPA Level may be considered to register for it.  There is, however, an exemption consideration for a candidate based on his/her entry qualification, CGPA level and other conditions.

 

GRADUATE CONVERSION CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

 

(7)   Graduate Conversion Certification Programme (GCCP): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of One Module consists of Eight (8) courses, for Business Management Certification (BMC) or Administrative Management Certification (AMC). BMC/AMC Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the module are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate. The Certification Programme is categorized into two (BMC/AMC), either of the Certifications may be issued, as relevant to the candidate’s field of discipline or area of specialization.  There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Candidates with BSc/BBA/B.A/B.Ed/HND; MSc/M.A/M.Ed in Business/Social Science related courses of studies and/or non-business related courses of studies are qualified for the management certification programme. The Lecture/ Training and Examinations take twelve (12) weeks (weekends: Saturdays or Sundays).

 

HIGHER PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION (HPCE)

 

(8)   Post Graduate Professional Certification Examinations (PGDBA/PGDM): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of Two Modules consist of Twelve (12) courses, for Graduate Diploma of Business Administration/Management (PGDBA/PGDM). PGDBA/PGDM Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  First Module Examinations consist of Seven (7) courses while the Second Module Examinations consist of Five (5) courses.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the two modules are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate. There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Candidates with BSc/BBA/B.A/B.Ed/HND; MSc/M.A/M.Ed in Business/Social Science related courses of studies and/or non-business related courses of studies are qualified; or Sound Candidates with Higher/Advanced Diploma or equivalent (from recognized Higher Education) in Business/Social Science related courses of studies, with Upper CGPA Level may be considered.

 

EXECUTIVE MASTER’S PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION (EMCE)

 

(9)   Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA/AMBA/CMBA/EMC): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of Two Modules consists of Fifteen (15) courses, for Executive Master of Business Administration/Management (EMBA/AMBA/CMBA/EMC). EMBA/AMBA/CMBA/EMC Examinations are on various courses of specialization or different fields of discipline with peculiar certification on each course of study.  First Module Examinations consist of Eight (8) courses while the Second Module Examinations consist of Seven (7) courses.  Notification of Results will be issued on each module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the two modules are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate. There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Candidates with MBA/MSc or equivalent in Business/Social Science related courses of studies are qualified. Sound Candidates with PGDBA/PGDM/BBA/BSc/GDBA/GDM/HND or equivalent (from recognized Higher Education) in Business/Social Science related courses of studies with Upper CGPA Level and having relevant years of wealth of working experience on Senior or Junior Management Cadre, will be of advantage for first consideration.

 

PROFESSIONAL CORPORATE MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS (PCMCE) FOR “PMC”

 

(10)   Professional Management Certification (PMC): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of One Module consists of Nine (9) integrated courses, for Professional Management Certification (PMC). PMC Examinations consist of specialized courses relevant to the particular field of candidate’s discipline or area of specialization.  Notification of Results will be issued on the module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the module are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate. There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Holders of Master qualifications from recognized University or Final Professional Certificate from an accredited and recognized Professional Body; or holders of First Degree with Second Class (Upper Division), on Business/Management related courses of studies. The candidates must have relevant years of wealth of working experience on Senior Management Level. There will be Entrance Examination for assessment and Interview for verification of the candidate’s suitability before admission.  (Admission is not guaranteed on the basic qualifications alone).

 

PROFESSIONAL CORPORATE MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS (PCMCE) FOR CMAC

 

(11)   Corporate Managerial Administration Certification (CMAC): Group of Courses (Subjects) Examinations of One Module consists of Seven (7) integrated courses, for Corporate Managerial Administration Certification (CMAC). CMAC Examinations consist of specialized courses relevant to the particular field of candidate’s discipline or area of specialization.  Notification of Results will be issued on the module exam, but Certificate will be issued only when all the courses under the module are passed.  Appropriate Certificate will be issued on a particular field or course of study enrolled for by the candidate. There will be a Presentation of Seminar Paper for the completion of the study programme before the certification.

Eligible Candidates for Training/Examinations: Holders of Master qualifications from recognized University or Final Professional Certificate from an accredited and recognized Professional Body; or holders of First Degree with First Class, on Business/Management related courses of studies. The candidates must have relevant years of wealth of working experience on Senior Management Level. There will be Entrance Examination for assessment and Interview for verification of the candidate’s suitability before admission. (Admission is not guaranteed on the basic qualifications alone).
